Borrowing from Other Libraries

BC Interlibrary Connect

More books—plus movies, music and audiobooks!

Search Libraries in the Northeast and beyond. The Chetwynd Public Library makes it easy for you to request books and DVDs from other libraries simply by using our online catalog. When searching for a title, our catalog will automatically search over 50 public libraries located within the province, including the nearby Fort St John, Hudson’s Hope, Fort Nelson, Pouce Coupe, Taylor, and Tumbler Ridge. Simply click the “Place Hold” button next to the item you wish to borrow, regardless of where that item is located, and it will be sent to the Chetwynd Public Library for you to pick up. Please be sure you have an updated email address in your library account to ensure you receive notification when your item arrives.
You can now place holds on items from other BC libraries.
Here’s how:
1.  Search the catalogue, making sure the library is set to BC Interlibrary Connect.  You will see all the items available in the region.
2.  Click “place a hold.”  The item will be shipped here for you.
3.  That’s it’!  You can request movies, music and audiobooks too!
