Fall Programs Registration is now open!

Register your young one(s) into one of our Preschool, After School, or STEAM Programs. Please have your child’s library card handy and follow the links below to register quickly and easily. Registrations are on a first come-first served basis so don’t hesitate. Registration opens at 9:00 am sharp!

Programs run from October 1st thru December 6th

Preschool Programs 

FULL – Adding names to the wait list – Tuesday – Lunch and Tales for 3-5 year olds – 11:30am-12:30pm – Click to Register!
Children will enjoy a healthy light lunch with stories, games and rhymes. Parents/caregivers have the opportunity to relax in the library while participants enjoy their first program on their own.

Wednesday – Mother Goose for Birth to 12 months – 10:00am-11:00am – Click to Register!
A program session for babies that puts the emphasis on the caregiver learning new rhymes, songs, stories and skills which will build confidence in early literacy development in a fun and interactive way.

Thursday – First Steps Storytime for 1 year olds – 10:00am-11:00am – Click to Register!
A cozy library program for one-year-olds and their caregivers, featuring engaging stories, gentle songs, and playful activities to spark early literacy skills and foster a love for learning.

Thursday – Tiny Twos Adventure Time for 2 year olds – 12:30pm-1:30pm – Click to Register!
This program captures it all with age-appropriate books, interactive techniques, sensory activities, singing for language development, crafts for fine motor skills, and socialization opportunities, all tailored for our little adventurers.
• Parent participation optional; however, parents must stay in the library.

AFTERNOON SESSION FULL – Friday – Playdate Fridays for Birth to 5 years old – Choose your time to register! 10:00am-11:00am OR 12:30pm-1:30pm
A dynamic program tailored for children from birth to 5 years old, offering rich learning environments and social interactions for early developmental growth, providing a relaxed, unstructured setting for parents and children to learn and grow together.

The Doodlebug program is more than just an arts and crafts class; it’s a journey of self-discovery, friendship, and endless possibilities. Join us as we doodle, create, and explore the boundless world of imagination together. We celebrate each child’s unique creations by providing a variety of materials and mediums, allowing young artists to experiment with colors, shapes, and textures. Each session is filled with fun and imaginative projects that spark curiosity and inspire self-expression.

If your child loves learning and solving problems, Master Minds is the program for them. We focus on gathering and using evidence to create knowledge and tackle challenges. Learning happens naturally every day as we explore, play, and try new things together

FULL – Adding names to the wait list – Thursday – LEGO Club: for Kindergarten to grade 3 – Click to Register!
Join our LEGO Club, where imagination meets hands-on learning! Kids will build, create, and discover while mastering skills like problem-solving, spatial awareness, and tackling complex tasks. It’s all about having fun with LEGO while planning, adjusting, and making everything fit together perfectly.

FULL – Adding names to the wait list – Friday – Foodie Fridays: for grades 4-7 – Click to Register!
This cooking program helps develop fine motor skills and eye hand coordination by chopping, mixing, squeezing, and spreading. Cooking encourages thinking, problem solving and creativity. Your child will learn basic cooking skills while creating classic favourites as well as a few sweet treats.

STEAM Programs – 5pm to 6pm

FULL – Adding names to the wait list – Coding & Robotics with JavaScript and Dash: for 10-14 yrs – 5-week program – Tuesdays – Click to Register!
Eyes light up when code comes to life with our lovable Dash robots. Whether Dash is rolling across the room at your command or exploring a colorful virtual world online, Dash is the perfect partner to add amazement to STEAM learning. Starting with JavaScript, learning to code has never been easier. Must have access to a computer and reliable internet. 1 hour per week in library plus assignments to be completed at home.

FULL – Addng names to the wait list – Guitar Lessons – 5-week programs – Thursdays – Click to Register!
Have you been wanting to learn how to play your guitar? This 5-week course will teach you the basics of your guitar including tuning, strumming, basic chords, and chord progressions to play along with your favourite campfire songs. Must have your own acoustic guitar. 5 weeks. 1 hour per week in-library and as much practice time at home as you have!
